Zurich offers a wide variety of typical sites and locations. The Grossmünster, Lake Zurich, Bahnhofstrasse and Zurich Zoo are just the start…

Zurich places a high premium on art and culture. In addition to its exquisite opera house, culture vultures will discover the best museums, concerts and theaters.

Zurich’s skyline is dominated by its churches. The twin towers of the Grossmünster, the stained glass windows of the Fraumünster and the clock tower of St. Peter are all prominent features of the cityscape.

Zurich’s famous facades certainly have a story or two to tell. Urban explorers can visit the Grossmünster and the historic guild halls, as well Lenin’s apartment in exile or Einstein’s favorite cafe.

The city of Zurich boasts 1,200 fountains – and you can drink from every single one of them.

What would Zurich be without Lake Zurich? The city’s very own ‘sea’ is perfect for summer swimming and all kinds of water sports. And a boat ride around the lake is an absolute must!

Zurich Zoo is easily accessible and is one of Europe’s most attractive zoological gardens. It is committed to conservation and biological diversity.

You can find everything that your heart desires in Bahnhofstrasse: fashion, art and Zurich specialties attract local residents as well as visitors.

The world-renowned shopping boulevard was created after construction of Zurich’s Main Railway Station. At the spot where city moats were 150 years ago, today it connects Lake Zurich with the Main Railway Station on a length of 1.4 kilometers (0.87 miles). You find numerous boutiques, department stores and timepiece stores here, as well as at Paradeplatz – the Swiss banking center. Bahnhofstrasse is just as popular with locals and visitors, and it is always worth a visit. You can stroll relaxed along the lake in the summer as well as enjoy mulled wine or hot chocolate at every corner in the winter. Rennweg and Augustinergasse lead off from Bahnhofstrasse into the picturesque old town.

In a not shell: Zurich you cannot describe enough, you must live it! Once you arrive, you’ll feel what we mean!
